Because all the models and celebrities wear string bikinis, so they think that one-pieces are out of style. Some like to show their bodies, and a few just think it's more comfortable to wear a bikini.
They just aren't very popular anymore, especially with younger girls. The probably already have two piece bikinis and are gonna have to buy a one piece like the first answer said. In my opinion, they just don't look that good and usually aren't very flattering for most women.

It's very uncomfortable when you have to go to the restroom. You have to take the whole thing off. Plus, many young girls will probably have to buy one now and it may be hard to find a cute one that's not basic.
It makes it uncomfortable to go to the bathroom and those really aren't fashionable anymore and most girls focus on fashion. i stopped wearing one pieces when i was 6 >_< lol so maybe you should change it.
well somtimes there itchy, and most of the time it is hard 2 find 1 that fits well around every where, and there not as cute 4 younger girls
nothinkg wrong with a one piece you know in todays society a one piece omg they probebly already have 2 pices know they have to go out and by a one piece maybe some of then do not have the funds to go out and buy a bathing suit exspeicaly this time of yr for one trip.
